Resident wakes, helps stop burglar

A resident woke up to find a burglar in the house early Tuesday morning, and the resident and landlord were able to hold the man for police, police said.

Ian Adams, 20, of 208 Pine St., was expected to be arraigned on a felony burglary charge Tuesday morning in Nashua District Court, Detective Lt. George McCarthy said. Adams is accused of entering another residence in his neighborhood through an unlocked sliding door, McCarthy said. The resident woke up at around 2:30 a.m. to find Adams inside, gathering electronics and other such items, McCarthy said.

The resident confronted Adams, who tried to flee, but the resident and landlord were able to hold him until police arrived.
