Upward Basketball is a basketball program that promotes character and self-esteem. There are separate leagues for boys and girls in kindergarten through seventh grade. Children must be 5 years old by Jan. 1 to play.
Registration costs $55 before Nov. 30. After Nov. 30, registration costs $65. Registration ends Dec. 6.

The Manchester VA Flu Clinic will be held today through Friday from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. in the Training and Education Room at the medical center. It is open to all veterans who are eligible for VA care.
You should not get the flu shot if you are allergic to eggs or you have had a severe reaction to flu shots in the past. If you have a significant fever, you should wait until your symptoms subside.

Mission Pointe Senior Support Services will host a presentation Monday at 10 a.m. for anyone needing information about resources for people afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.
Amanda Jillson, director of the ServiceLink Resource Center of Hillsborough County, will be the guest speaker. She will focus on available community resources for seniors and caregivers, as well as on how to access these services.
The presentation will be held at Mission Pointe Senior Support Services at 0 St. Eugene Way. The event is being held to support caregivers in recognition of National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month in November.
