Register car soon for month of November

Hoping to ease the last minute rush, city officials advise motorists whose car registrations are up in November to take care of their renewals as soon as possible.

City Hall will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, for Thanksgiving. It will reopen the following Monday, Dec. 1.

Anyone with a November due date for motor vehicle registration should have them completed no later than Wednesday, Nov, 26, in order to comply with state law, city officials say.

Residents who haven’t already mailed in their renewals for November should do so as soon as possible.

The Motor Vehicle Department will be open this Thursday until 7 p.m. to complete renewal registrations for November that haven’t been processed through the mail.City officials advise they expect the department to be busier than normal Dec. 1, 2 and 3 due to the holiday schedule.
