Newport Beach, Calif.-based Provender Partners, a food-related industrial buildings investor, has acquired two Class A cold storage warehouses totaling approximately 316,000 square feet in Londonderry, NH, in a $67 million transaction, the company announced. Leased by ReallyCold, and located less than a mile from Interstate 93, the 191,836-square-foot Class A cold storage warehouse at 219 Rockingham Rd., shown above, is a 14.2-acre facility that offers 24,000 pallet positions and includes 10 docks and 30-foot clear heights. The 124,100-square-foot Class A cold storage warehouse at 6 Rockingham Rd., is situated on a 12.86-acre site and offers 14,000 pallet positions and includes 10 docks and 30-foot clear heights. Kevin Griffiths of Newmark represented Provender in the off-market sale. The seller, a New York-based investment and real estate firm was represented Newmark’s Brian Pinch.

This year’s Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development Breakfast will focus on workforce housing in New Hampshire. The event will be moderated by Scott Spradling of The Spradling Group. Speakers will include George Reagan of New Hampshire Housing, Steve Lewis of Steve Lewis Inc. and Elissa Margolin of Housing Action NH. They will discuss the overall landscape of workforce housing in the state, local workforce housing projects in Salem, and legislative impacts on New Hampshire workforce housing. Manchester-based Outdoor Pride Landscape & Snow Management recently acquired a 2.5-acre property in Chelmsford, Mass. to serve as its hub for Massachusetts operations. The firm services southern and central New Hampshire and northern and eastern Massachusetts, including the Boston area, providing comprehensive snow management, landscape installation and ground management services to major institutions. The company said about 50 employees are working at the Chelmsford site, with plans to add another 10 to 20 employees over the next year.

The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance is seeking nominations for its annual Preservation Achievement Awards, which recognize individuals, organizations or businesses in the categories of restoration and stewardship, rehabilitation and adaptive use, compatible new construction, public policy, and educational and planning initiatives. Bonin Architects & Associates, with offices in New London and Meredith, has announced the promotions of two staff members and the addition of a new employee. Architect Jedd Pellerin, who has over 20 years of experience in the industry, has been promoted to be the firm’s studio manager. Alex Hanson, who has been promoted to project manager, joined the firm in 2019 as an architectural designer. Also, Victoria Shirreffs has been hired as an architectural designer. She has a master of architecture degree and master of sustainable real estate development degree, both from Tulane University.

A new tuition-free executive education program that aims to position minority-owned and woman-owned businesses to effectively compete for larger-scale construction contracts is accepting applications for its inaugural cohort, which launches in May 2022. The 21-week virtual Building for Growth program is designed by Initiative for a Competitive Inner City and aims to support BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color)-owned and woman-owned construction-related companies. BFG combines online classroom training, dedicated technical assistance and long-term mentorship. The course learnings are specific both to the construction industry and tailored to the individual participants’ businesses which distinguishes BFG from similar programs.

To be eligible to participate, a company must be an independent, for-profit corporation in the construction industry; at least 51 percent BIPOC- and/or woman-owned and, have annual revenues of $2 million to $10 million or be on course to reach or exceed $2 million within the next three years. The class will be limited to 50 businesses, and applications will be accepted online until Friday, April 8.
