Paving scam suspect caught while driving
NASHUA – A city teen arrested last week in connection with a paving scam was caught driving, and charged as a habitual offender, police report.
Joseph Stanley, 19, of 32 Yarmouth Drive, was arrested after police stopped a motor home trying to head toward Holman Stadium along a nearby side street, while police were trying to direct traffic in the other direction after the fireworks show, Detective Sgt. Michael Moushegian said.
Stanley had been arrested just last week on felony theft charges, alleging that he bilked two elderly homeowners through a driveway paving scam.
The habitual offender charge also is a felony, which carries up to five years in prison, Moushegian said.
