New Board member
Milford has been through this movie before – in 2003 when selectmen elected Bob Willette to the School Board after a member resigned and board members deadlocked.
On Monday night, another board of selectmen again chose Willette to fill out a term on the Milford School Board. And as they did in 2003, they elected him on a 3-2 vote.
The choice went to the selectmen after the School Board deadlocked earlier this month with 2-2 votes after nominating Willette, who is now a state representative, and Ronald Carvell, a member of Milford On Track and the Bales study committee.State law requires selectmen to make a decision when the School Board can’t reach a decision, and last week the board decided to interview the four original candidates, including Linda Beausoleil and Gil Archambault.
