NASHUA AARP's community leader of year
Ruth Morgan of Gateways Community Services was recognized by the New Hampshire AARP with the Community Partner Leader of the Year Award. This award acknowledges Morgan’s success at building bridges between AARP, the local community, government, faith-based organizations, nonprofits and the private sector.
Morgan has worked with Gateways since 2006 and has led the way to developing services for elders in need of care. Prior to joining Gateways, Morgan worked for six years with Hillsborough County ServiceLink.
She was a champion of elder issues and is involved with the Greater Nashua Area Committee on Aging, Elder Wrap and the Senior Companion Program. She continues to advocate for seniors with her recent involvement in the opening of Mission Pointe elder program in Hudson.
