Nashua 3-year-old has swine flu
A 3-year-old Nashua child who got sick out-of-state during family vacation has become the fourth New Hampshire resident confirmed to have with H1N1 flu, also known as swine flu.
Also, a Nashua adult and a Hudson adult have joined the list of people in New Hampshire who have probable cases of the flu – that is, suspected cases of H1N1 that have not yet been confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Overall, the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services says four state residents have been confirmed with H1N1 flu and 11, including two Nashua teens, have probably cases.
All are recovering and doing well.
Through Friday afternoon, the Public Health Labs has tested 608 samples. Of them, 574 tested negative for any flu, 20 tested positive for seasonal flu, and 14 tested probable for H1N1.
