Merrimack court officer who shot self identified

A court bailiff whose ankle pistol went off, wounding him in the foot, has been identified as 36-year-old Logan Crocker of Nashua.

Police also said Crocker was authorized to carry the .25-caliber pistol.

State policy generally forbids court security officers from bringing guns to work like the one Crocker accidentally shot himself with. The weapon, holster, and bullet were collected by police as evidence. The gun will be examined to see if it was functioning properly.
