Medical marijuana film at library today

NASHUA – A film about medical marijuana, “Waiting to Inhale,” will be shown at the Nashua Public Library today.

The screening, hosted by the New Hampshire Coalition for Common Sense Marijuana Policy, will be followed by a discussion and question-and-answer period with medical marijuana advocates, according to Matt Simon, the coalition’s executive director.

Simon said the film should have particular interest to New Hampshire residents this year since the state legislators are considering HB 648, a bill that would protect seriously ill patients from being arrested if their doctors recommend using marijuana.

“Waiting to Inhale” has won several awards including Best Documentary at the 2005 New Jersey International Film Festival, Simon said.

The screening will be held at 10 a.m. in the library’s theater at 2 Court St.
