Man injured in single-vehicle crash

The driver of a pickup truck suffered serious injuries after crashing into a tree Saturday night, Fire Rescue Deputy Chief Michael O’Brien said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which took place at 7:26 p.m. on Amherst Street near Sullivan Street, just West of Broad Street, O’Brien said.

A black, late-model pickup truck crashed into a tree about 15 feet off the road, and the trauma team at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center was activated to treat the driver’s injuries, O’Brien said.

Nashua police could not be reached, and no further information was available about the crash.
