Mall, restaurant plans to be heard

A proposal to build a 14,400-square-foot strip mall and 3,380-square-foot restaurant on Route 13 in Brookline will be heard tonight by the planning board.

The discussion will start around 7 p.m. at Town Hall. This is the first time the planning board has formally seen the plans, pitched by Prime Group Inc. of Tyngsborough, Mass.

If approved, the buildings will be constructed across Route 13 from Townsend Hill Road.

The restaurant, which would seat 80, would be close to the road, with the mall set back.
