Hottel denies contract report, says negotiations ongoing
NASHUA – Superintendent Christopher Hottel disputed a report that he would sign a contract Tuesday night to formally accept the top job in the North Andover, Mass., school system.
The North Andover Citizen reported Tuesday that Hottel would be at that night’s North Andover School Committee meeting to sign a contract.
On Dec. 22, the committee voted 4-1 to offer Hottel the district’s superintendent job.
On Tuesday, Hottel said that the report was not accurate and he would not be at that night’s meeting.
Hottel said he is still in negotiations with the school committee, and he would likely make a decision within the week.
“It’s not going to happen tonight,” he said.
