Gear up for center's Ride to Read Bike Race in May

NASHUA – The Adult Learning Center will host its third annual Ride to Read Bike Race Sunday, May 31. The local nonprofit agency is inviting area cyclists to travel the road to literacy while supporting programs offered at the center in this annual cycling event.

The Ride to Read Bike Race offers riders a picturesque way to enjoy the spring in southern New Hampshire as they travel through the communities of Hollis, Amherst, Mont Vernon, Peterborough and Temple on the 100-mile course. Fifty-, 25- and 5-mile routes are also available. New this year is a 3-mile Family Walk.

All events begin and end at the Adult Learning Center at 4 Lake St. in Nashua. The event will be held rain or shine.

The proceeds from the fundraising event will benefit programs offered at the Adult Learning Center, including the childcare and early learning programs, adult basic education and Clearway, the high school program.

Sponsors include Goodale’s Bike Shop, Ocean Bank, New Hampshire Magazine and Digital Media Design.

Riders interested in participating can sign up on the Adult Learning Center’s Web site at www.adultlearningcenter.org.
