Gas station-convenience store OK'd

EDITOR’S NOTE: Around the Towns, which typically runs Saturdays, appears in the Friday edition of The Telegraph this week because there will be no Saturday paper.

The Lyndeborough Planning Board has unanimously approved plans from Scott and Janet Quilty to build a gas station-convenience store on Route 31.

The property is at 658 Forest Road, usually referred to as “the old sawmill lot” near the junction with Winn Road (formerly Cram Road). No date was given for construction.

A conceptual plan presented by the Quiltys almost a year ago calls for two gas pumps and one diesel plus a convenience store.

It will be the first gas station in town since the early 1980s. The last station was at The Little Store on the western edge of South Lyndeborough Village.
