Fuel raffle to support teens

Milford Middle School Enrichment Program is sponsoring a fuel raffle to support the scholarship program. Tickets will be on sale at the election polls today.

There are three prizes: 100 and 75 gallons of home heating oil and $100 of oil, made possible through generous donations from Ciardelli Fuel, Fred Fuller Oil and Lorden Oil.

The Milford Middle School Enrichment Program offers after school, delayed opening and summer programs to teens.

MERRIMACK Your input wanted in conservation plan

The Merrimack Conservation Commission is looking for public input in developing a town-wide conservation plan.

The commission recently initiated the yearlong project, which is designed to identify, enhance and protect significant ecological features in town, and promote community outreach and education, according to a press statement.

The plan will build upon and refine 2005 data from the state’s fish and game department.

At a forum next month, the commission will seek residents’ input on their own wildlife experiences in town, their favorite natural areas and concerns about the town’s resources, the statement said. Commission leaders will also be looking for volunteers to help throughout the year.

The forum will be held at the courthouse in Town Hall on Monday from 8-9 p.m. For more information, contact Andy Powell at 494-7133 or awpowell@verizon.net.
