Fly like an eagle

Kids from 8 to 17 can experience the wonders of flight through a program at Boire Field (Nashua Municipal Airport).

Free airplane flights will be given from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. June 6, with June 7 as a rain date.

Licensed pilots will donate time for the flights, which are offered through the Young Eagles program. The program aims to provide introductory flights to 100,000 young people each year.

To date, more than 1.4 million children have participated in the program nationwide.

A parent or guardian must accompany the child, and the rides will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations will be accepted. For more information, call Harlan Loken at 620-5627. Sponsors are the Experimental Aircraft Association, International Aerobatic Club, Infinity Aviation, Midfield Cafe, Nashua Flight Simulator and Daniel Webster College.
