Exit 2 rollover crash off turnpike injures 2

Two people suffered what are believed to be serious injuries after the car they were in rolled over on the Exit 2 off-ramp of the F.E. Everett Turnpike on Thursday afternoon.

Witnesses said the accident occurred on the southbound Exit 2 off-ramp, just past the split to the Daniel Webster Highway. The off-ramp eventually becomes Sagamore Bridge Road after crossing the Merrimack River into Hudson.

A State Police dispatcher said at least one of the victims was thrown from the car. One was taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and the other to St. Joseph Hospital, the dispatcher said. Their identities and conditions weren’t immediately known.

Police closed the off-ramp at the Everett Turnpike for a time, detouring traffic to Exit 1. About 9:30 p.m., troopers investigating the accident were still at the hospitals trying to gather information, the dispatcher added.
