MERRIMACK – Events to be held tonight and tomorrow will benefit the Merrimack-based High Hopes Foundation, which helps chronically ill children in the state.

Tonight, the Nashua police will tip off against Nashua firefighters in a charity basketball game. The event will be held at Nashua Community College on Amherst Street at 7 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5, with all proceeds to benefit High Hopes.

There will also be a silent auction of sports memorabilia silent auction and a raffle for Fisher Cats tickets.

On Saturday, High Hopes will have the third annual Family Fun Fair, featuring a bounce house, face painting, raffles, kids games, caricaturists, crafters and a vendor selling 15 flavors of cotton candy.

Most proceeds will benefit the foundation. The fair will be held at Shaw’s Supermarket on Continental Boulevard from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
