Driver sent to prison in fatality
A Lawrence, Mass., man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty in a fatal car crash.
Jason Connolly, 35, pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in the death of John Sweren, of Pelham, in September 2007.
Connolly was sentenced to three to six years in prison.
Police said Connolly and another man were headed to Pelham hoping to sell an expensive bird they had just stolen from a pet store in Salem. Their car crossed the center line on Route 38 and hit Sweren, who was driving a motorcycle.
