Downed wires close road, Town Hall
Due to downed wires, a stretch of Depot Road, from Richardson Road to Monument Square, was closed to through traffic Tuesday night, according to Hollis police Lt. James Sartell.
Town Hall was also closed for the remainder of the day.
Meetings of the Budget and Heritage committees scheduled for Tuesday night were canceled.
A trash removal truck driven by Scott Lapan, of Milford, snagged the wires while turning down Cleasby Lane. Two utility poles were broken as a result of downing the wires across the road.
