Don't blink, that fire truck really is pink
PITTSFIELD, N.H. (AP) – New Hampshire drivers may do a double take this weekend as a group of firefighters from Arizona drives through the state on a pink fire truck.
The firefighters call themselves the Guardians of the Ribbon, and they are touring America to promote breast cancer awareness in a pink fire truck. They’re also wearing pink fire suits created and donated by Globe Manufacturing Company, of Pittsfield.
The truck is towing a 10-foot-tall silver ribbon. A convoy of firefighters on motorcycles plans to escort the truck Sunday afternoon from Salem to Concord. On Monday the group will tour the Globe Manufacturing plant in Pittsfield, attend an event at the New Hampshire Fire Academy in Concord, and hold a fundraiser in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Concord from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m.
