Daniel Webster launches tech MBA program

Nashua-based Daniel Webster College has unveiled a master’s degree in business administration focused on technology and innovation.

The new program, scheduled to begin in the spring semester, is aimed at preparing students through specialized instruction in areas such as e-business, economics of technological change and technological innovation strategy.

“We developed the MBA in technology and innovation leadership to fill a need within the local and regional business community for leaders who can quickly and efficiently adapt to changes and perform under the pressures of today’s competitive business climate,” said Skip Myers, president of the college. “We listened to the concerns of industry leaders and responded with a new advanced degree program which will equip their next generation of executives with the skills to excel.”

The program’s curriculum is intended to be interdisciplinary and specialized, mixing in elements of organizational management, human resources, finance and marketing with a traditional MBA. Besides existing courses, the program will feature five new courses — Economics of Technological Change, e-Business and Entrepreneurship, Technological Innovation Management and Strategies, New Product Design and Development and Advanced Human Resource Management.
