Dancing for dollars
In Motion, the YMCA of Greater Nashua’s youth dance troupe, will announce today its $50,000 pledge to support the capital campaign for a new Y facility.
The announcement will come before the start of the American Defenders game at Holman Stadium at 4:30 p.m.
Fifteen members of In Motion, ranging in age from 7 to 15, will receive the honor of naming one of the new dance studios in the new Y facility as recognition of their contribution.
“This pledge is a wonderful reflection of a small community (In Motion) coming together to benefit our entire community,” said Mike LaChance, executive director of the YMCA of Greater Nashua.
“These girls and their families are making a commitment to assist the YMCA in building a new facility that will be serving their grandchildren 50 years from now,” LaChance said.
“We are very proud not only of their talent as dancers, but of their caring attitudes and willingness to help others,” he said.
