Crash blamed on car's problems

MERRIMACK – An Allenstown woman told police her car had sudden mechanical problems before crashing Tuesday afternoon.

Amber McQuade, 24, of 9 Merrisa Drive, was traveling north on Daniel Webster Highway at about 5 p.m., when her car started having problems and couldn’t stop, police said in a statement.

McQuade pulled the car into a driveway at 715 Daniel Webster Highway and crashed into a steel rack, causing extensive front-end damage to her vehicle, police said.

McQuade and her passenger, Sarah Warner, 24, of 354 Dubuque St., Manchester, were transported to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester for treatment of nonlife-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating.
