Convicted drug dealer charged over driving

NASHUA – A man who had served a federal prison sentence for dealing crack cocaine was arrested Saturday for driving a motor vehicle while being deemed an habitual offender, police said.

Angel Rosario, 42, of 3 Lessard St., had served roughly 4-1/2 years of a 6-1/2-year prison sentence for selling cocaine and crack cocaine as the alleged leader of the gang “The Fam.”

He was a central figure in a Nashua police and state and federal investigation into drug dealing by the gang in 2002 and 2003, and he was sentenced in 2004.

Rosario is on federal parole, and Nashua police will notify his parole supervisor of the offense, police Sgt. Michael Carignan said Monday.

Operating a motor vehicle while a habitual offender is a Class B felony.
