Committee backs $26.9m town budget
HUDSON – The budget committee agreed Monday night on a $26,935,059 town-operating budget that will be presented at Thursday’s public hearing at the Community Center on Lions Avenue.
Members voted 7-3 in favor of recommending the budget, which is roughly $48,500 more than the default budget.
Monday’s meeting was the first in a series of sessions to discuss the town and school budgets in advance of their respective deliberative sessions on Saturday, Jan. 31, for the school and Saturday, Feb. 7, for the town.
The budget committee reconvenes tonight at 7 at Town Hall to finalize the school-operating budget.
