Co-op district budget review hearing tonight

WILTON – The Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative School District public budget hearing will be tonight at 7:30 at the high school.

The proposed operating budget for 2009-10 is $5,961,469, a decrease of $68,360, or 1.1 percent, from the current budget.

At the hearing, registered voters will be given a presentation of the proposed operating budget and other warrant articles. The budget will be voted at the annual district meeting on Friday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the high school.

A new support staff contract, with an additional cost of about $6,097. The board will also ask permission to remove $60,000 from a reserve account.
