Citizens to add to library’s (hi)story
The Hills Memorial Library’s 100 years of service to the citizens of Hudson will be celebrated Thursday at the newly opened George H. and Ella M. Rodgers Memorial Library.
The focus of the bash will be a documentary called “The Last Chapter” that shows the earliest history of the library and its development through time. The film, created by Amber Lynde and William Eaton, of HCTV-20, will be shown every hour on the hour from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
After each showing, the floor will be open to those who wish to share a memory or two about the library, which will be compiled to create an oral history.
The filmmakers will be in attendance at 7 p.m. There will also be memorabilia, complimentary bookmarks and of course, a birthday cake.
The Rodgers library is at 194 Derry Road, Hudson, next to Alvirne High School.
