Celebrate holidays at stroll in Milford

MILFORD – Downtown Milford will celebrate traditional New England holiday cheer with the “Come Home for the Holidays” Downtown Stroll on Sunday, Dec. 7, beginning at noon with music, horse drawn carriage rides and holiday shopping.

Enjoy performances by local choral and theater groups every 30 minutes around the Oval. Featured groups include Stagecoach Theater Productions, the Peacock Players Improv and Choral groups, the Milford United Methodist Church Hand Bell Choir, the Amherst First Baptist Church Strolling Victorian Carolers and Hanukkah selections by Rahel and friends.

Sleigh bells will ring on the horse drawn carriage rides on Middle Street, courtesy of Lyndeborough Livery and Feel Good Farm. Take a ride on one of the two lighted Amish-style carriages.

Help those in need and enter to win a holiday gift! Get your Polar Express Passport stamped in participating stores, and enter to win a giant stocking with gifts from downtown merchants. Pick up your passport at the DO-IT booth on the Oval. The fee for the passport is a non-perishable food item or paper products or a donation to SHARE. Drawing will be at the tree lighting at 5 p.m.
