CASA takes home $7,500 from BofA

Court Appointed Special Advocates of New Hampshire, or CASA, has received a $7,500 grant from Bank of America Charitable Foundation, the agency announced. The funds will support CASA’s mission to provide Guardians ad Litem to assist abused and neglected children in their cases before the Granite State’s court system.”Last year, CASA/GALs helped 1,170 victimized children find their way to safe and permanent homes,” said Marcia Sink, CASA president and chief executive. “This number represents only 80 percent of New Hampshire children who enter our juvenile court system each year because they are the victim of child abuse and neglect. With the generosity of Bank of America, CASA is one step closer to meeting its goal of providing a voice to every abused and neglected child.”John F. Weeks, president of Bank of America New Hampshire, added: “CASA volunteers advocate for the best interests of the most vulnerable children in our communities. These funds will help them continue to carry out their mission, the importance of which cannot be overstated.”
