Budget up by 3.9 percent for '09

BROOKLINE – Voters met Tuesday night to consider an $8.79 million budget for Brookline School District.

The meeting did not wind up in time for today’s Telegraph. Results will be in tomorrow’s paper.

The budget is 3.9 percent higher than last year’s, driven by hikes in special education, benefits and salaries.
