Book signing at the Hunt Building
NASHUA- The Heritage Series continues at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hunt Building, 6 Main St., on Library Hill. Dr. Niki Karavasilis, author of “Scattered Leaves,” will talk about the book’s story of a family in Trikorfon, Greece, and what they endured during the Italian and German invasions in the 1940s. A book signing will follow her discussion.
The book, which was chosen as the book of the month selection in May 2004 by Bookreview.com, is the tale of Martha and Mitro’s love for each other, their children, their own country and above all, their second country, America. Their children and grandchildren reaped the benefits of their courage and faith, and “Scattered Leaves” is a testament to the call of freedom.
This program is free and open to the public. For additional information, call the Hunt Building at 594-3661 or visit Gonashua.com and click on Hunt Memorial Building.
