Author to sign book on abducted kids

Merrimack author Dr. Niki Karavasilis will host a signing of her newest book, “Paidomazoma: The 28,000 Abducted Greek Children by the Communists” on Saturday at St. George’s Church, 650 Hanover St.

The signing will start at 3 p.m. and is free. Refreshments will be available.

Karavasilis, a retired professor, has made several journeys back to her native Greece to research “Paidomazoma,” which is about the 28,000 children who were abducted by the Greek Communist rebels during the Greek Civil War from 1946-49 and scattered behind the Iron Curtain.
