Adult Learning Center adds walk to fundraising event

If pedaling isn’t your thing, there’s a new activity this year in the annual Ride to Learn fundraiser for the Adult Learning Center.

A 3-mile walk has been added to the slate of activities for Sunday, May 31.

Registration can be done in advance or beginning at 6 a.m. the day of the walk and cycling event at the Adult Learning Center, 4 Lake St.

Fees are $100 for the 100-mile cycle, $50 for the 50-mile cycle, $25 for the 25-mile cycle, $25 for the 5-mile cycle, $25 for the 3-mile adult walk and $10 for the 3-mile walk for children 12 and younger.

Also, there are discounts for teams that register.

Participants get a free T-shirt; the registration fee is waived for participants who raise $750. Plus, there are prize incentives for all participants who raise $750.

Also, the center needs volunteers to help out.
