4 charged with beating mailboxes
HUDSON – Four teens have been caught smashing mailboxes in Hudson, police said.
Police got several calls reporting mailbox bashing at around 12:30 a.m. Monday along Webster Street, and officers stopped a vehicle in the area, and charged two girls age 16 or younger, who were not identified due to their age, and James Petrick, 19, and Miguel Abreu, 18, both of Nashua.
All four youths were charged with conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, and later released to their respective parents pending hearings in Nashua District Court.
Police have documented at least 10 smashed mailboxes so far, and urge anyone whose mailbox was recently vandalized to report it to police, especially in the areas of Alvirne, Adam, Patricia and St. Laurent Drive, or Forest Road.
