Keynote Speaker: T.R. Reid
Author, reporter, NPR and PBS correspondent

T. R. Reid has become one of the nation’s best-known
reporters through his coverage of global affairs for The
Washington Post, his books and documentary films, and
his light-hearted commentaries on National Public Radio.
At the Washington Post, Reid covered Congress and
four presidential campaigns. He has also served as the
paper’s bureau chief in Tokyo and in London. As an
international reporter, his career has spanned three
dozen countries on five continents.
Reid has written and hosted documentary films for National Geographic TV, for PBS, and for the A&E network. He is a regular commentator on National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition.” He has written seven books in English and three in Japanese.
His latest book, The Healing of America: A Global Quest for Better, Cheaper, and Fairer Health Care, was published in the fall of
2009 and quickly became a national best-seller.
Reid's keynote address will focus on his current project, a film that reveals how some U.S. communities have found ways to orchestrate their health care system by acting locally, rather than waiting for Washington to tell them what to do.
Tune in to NHPR on Monday, October 3
T.R. Reid will be live on NHPR's Exchange on Monday, October 3 at 9 a.m.
T.R. Reid will join Laura Knoy on The Exchange to discuss how some U.S. communities have found ways to orchestrate their health care system by acting locally rather than waiting for Washington to tell them what to do. Tune in and learn what's working throughout the country and right here in the Granite State.
