Moderator Peter Hayes opens the event with interviews of NH business leaders, executives, and experts who share their successes and challenges when faced with keeping a strong health care plan in place during tough economic times.
Peter Hayes, former benefits executive for Hannaford Bros. Co., brings 15 years of experience in managing health and wellness programs -- implementing innovative solutions for patient advocacy and disease management. Peter's successful health reform initiatives at Hannaford have been recognized by the National Business Group on Health and extend to the state level. As a co-founder of the Maine Health Management Coalition, co-chairman of the Maine Employer Purchasing Collaborative and currently serving in advisory role to Governor Baldacci's "Health Action Team," Peter has been a part of implementing legislation to help address extending affordable coverage to the uninsured residents of Maine.

Keynote speaker Dr. Jason Hwang is co-founder and Executive Director of Healthcare at Innosight Institute, a non-profit social innovation think tank based in Watertown, Massachusetts. He is co-author of The Innovator's Prescription: A Disruptive Solution for Healthcare, with professor Clayton Christensen of the Harvard Business School.
Dr. Hwang is a physician of internal medicine and has been recognized for his clinical work, most recently as the former Chief Resident and clinical instructor a the University of California. In addition to his medical degree, he received his masters of business administration from Harvard and received a fellowship at Innosight, Clayton Christensen's consulting firm. Dr. Hwang has also worked with the Health Horizons Program at the Institute for the Future, a forecasting think tank based in Palo Alto, CA.
As a physician, master of business administration, accomplished author and researcher, Dr. Jason Hwang offers a well-rounded viewpoint -- sharing his knowledge, insights and theories on the changing face of health care.
