Journalist and author T.R. Reid, whose work over the last several years has explored in depth the state of the U.S. health care system, will be the keynote speaker at the third annual NHBR Health Care Forum.Presented with MVP Health Care, the forum will be held from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct., 13, at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord. Reid, author of "The Healing of America: A Global Quest for Better, Cheaper and Fairer Health Care," has been a longtime reporter for the Washington Post, a commentator on NPR, and his documentaries on health care have been broadcast on PBS.The event also will include a panel discussion featuring experts who will discuss issues of concern to business owners, executives, human resources professionals, health care providers and insurance brokers.Tickets are $37 per person through Oct. 1, after which they will cost $42.
