Health care forum to tackle the ACA
A health care industry insider with more 40 years in the industry will be the keynote speaker at NHBR’s fifth annual Health Care Forum
The forum, presented in partnership with MVP Health Care, also will include discussion by New Hampshire experts about the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in the Granite State as well as a panel of New Hampshire businesspeople who will discuss their firm’s response to the ACA.
The NHBR Health Care Forum will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.
Keynote speaker will be Stan Hupfeld, a hospital executive for more than 40 years, most recently as CEO of the multi-hospital system INTEGRIS Health, the largest provider of health services in Oklahoma. He will provide insight on how our current health care system operates, the challenges of health care reform, the specifics of the ACA, and the pros and cons of private plans vs. a government-based plan.
Praised as a nationally recognized health care CEO, Hupfeld also is the author of “Political Malpractice: How the Politicians Made a Mess of Health Reform.”
Also among those taking part in the forum will be:
• Steve Gerlach, an attorney with the law firm of Bernstein Shur. He will be providing New Hampshire-specific answers to questions about how the ACA affects businesses in the Granite State.
• Connie Roy-Czyzowski, vice president of human resources for Concord-based Northeast Delta Dental
• Ken Koornneef, president of Concord-based Nobis Engineering Inc., an employee-owned company
• Mike Melville, CEO of IntelliSoft Group, a Nashua-based provider of credentialing, payer enrollment and contract management software.
