Hudson man accused of receiving stolen car parts

A Hudson man is charged with receiving stolen car parts, police said Tuesday. John Diberto, 28, of 38 Library St., Hudson, turned himself over to police Monday morning on a warrant charging him with receiving stolen property, police said. He is accused of having parts from a Honda Civic that was reported stolen Aug. 15, in Lowell, Mass., and car stereo equipment stolen from another vehicle, Detective Lt. George McCarthy said. Police have been investigating car thefts and stolen parts since early last month, and another man also was charged last month, McCarthy said. Diberto was released on bail after his arrest on the property charge, and a detective tried to speak with him further as he was leaving the station, McCarthy said. Diberto allegedly sped off while the detective was beside his car, and police then chased him down and arrested him again on a felony reckless conduct charge.
