Sports fans attending events at Cardinals Stadium in Arizona can look forward to better cellphone reception thanks to innovative technology designed and installed by Manchester-based Cellular Specialties Inc. Communication among stadium employees also will improve because of the technology. Officials at CSI, a provider of in-building wireless solutions, announced that they have completed the installation of a technology-neutral distributed antenna system at the new home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals. The new facility boasts a seating capacity of 63,400, a retractable roof and the first retractable grass playing surface installed in the country. It is expected to host Super Bowl XLII in February 2008. The new CSI system will improve radio system and cellphone reception for stadium guests, public safety officials and other employees within a million-square-foot area while providing the flexibility to grow to meet the demands of future wireless technology. CSI is headquartered in the Jefferson Mill Building in Manchester’s Millyard. - TRACIE STONE Edit ModuleShow Tags
