Nonprofit leaders to gather for summit

The 2010 Nonprofit Leadership Summit will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester and will feature four keynotes on issues having a impact on the nonprofit sector. To kick off the event, Virginia Prescott of NHPR will interview John E. Hoffman Jr., a nonprofit leader and collaborator who came to New Hampshire 20 years ago after a career as an international corporate lawyer, during which time he was the lead negotiator for the Iranian Hostage Crisis in 1981. Following the opening, attendees will choose two of four keynotes: new strategies for funding the work of nonprofits by Russell Willis Taylor, CEO of National Arts Strategies; skills for building successful alliances with Marianne Hughes, the executive director of the Interaction Institute for Social Change; leveraging social media and technology for marketing by Katya Andresen, chief operating officer of Network for Good; and the evolution of corporate-nonprofit partnerships and how to measure return on investment by Jason Saul, chief executive of Mission Measurement. At the luncheon presentation, Gov. John Lynch has been invited to present The Corporate Fund Nonprofit Management Award, which is given annually to two outstanding nonprofit organizations in honor of businessman and philanthropist Walter J. Dunfey. Visit nhnonprofits.org to register for tickets, which are $150 for members and $200 for non-members. -- KATHLEEN CALLAHAN/NEW HAMPSHIRE BUSINESS REVIEW Edit ModuleShow Tags
