N.H. bankruptcies rise in Sept.
Bankruptcies in New Hampshire, which have been declining over the last few months, are back up.There were 479 filings in September -- the most in any September save for 2005. The total was 46 more than in August, (an 11 percent increase) and 36 more than September 2009 (an 8 percent increase).Almost all of the bankruptcies were personal. There were four business bankruptcies, compared to nine in August: • Great Bay Catering LLC, formerly of Somersworth now of Eliot, Maine, Chapter 7, filed Sept. 2. Assets: $500. Liabilities: $ 491,713. • Great Bay/Hepburn LLC, (former owners of the Somersworth property), Chapter 7, filed Sept 2. Assets: $ 130.85 Liabilities: $466,086 • TMT Real Estate Development LLC, Auburn. Chapter 11, filed Sept. 30. Assets: Less than $10,000. Liabilities: From $500,000 to $1 million • Moultonborough Hotel Group, Chapter 11, filed Sept 30.. Assets: $1 million to $10 million.
