LaBelle Winery opens Portsmouth space … and more

Christopher Barron, former commander of the New England District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has joined Normandeau Associates Inc., Bedford. as a senior regulatory specialist. Barron, a retired colonel, will focus on the management of large, complex projects and continued expansion and strategic development of the firm.

Jackie Whatmough, recently retired as Concord’s director of human services, has been appointed to the board of directors of Concord Housing + Redevelopment. She currently serves as agency coordinator for the Holiday Food Basket program for the Capital Region Food Program as well as on the Mayor’s Joint Taskforce for Childhood Hunger.

 

The firm of Weidema, Lavin & Grott Accounting, P.C. (WLGA) has relocated its main headquarters to Two International Drive in the Pease International Tradeport, Portsmouth. The accounting firm, the result of a merger between Weidema and Lavin CPA with Grott & Riendeau PC in 2014, has closed its second location in Hampton.

 

Amherst-based LaBelle Winery has leased 2,717 square feet of retail space at The Kearsarge House, 104 Congress St., Portsmouth. David Choate and Andrew Ward of Colliers International’s Portsmouth office represented the lessor, Kearsarge House Associates LP, and assisted LaBelle in the transaction. LaBelle Winery Portsmouth is home to a wine-tasting room, wine and gift shop featuring The Winemaker’s Kitchen culinary line of products, as well as a fine art gallery.

 

Agents and employees of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Verani Realty recently collected over 2,000 pounds of food as well as a $10,000 donation with a month-long food drive through VeraniCARES, Verani’s social development arm.
