Canadian ambassador to address Portsmouth chamber

The Canadian ambassador to the United States will speak to members of the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce at a special chamber luncheon early next month. Frank McKenna will be the featured speaker as part of at the Bank of America Speaker Series event, which is set from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Wentworth by the Sea Hotel in New Castle. "Canada remains New Hampshire's largest trading partner," said Chamber President Dick Ingram. "We expect the ambassador to talk about the U.S.-Canada partnership, in particular, security and prosperity." McKenna, 57, served as chairman of CanWest Global, Canada's leading media company. In 2002, McKenna and his wife, Julie, purchased Glenwood Kitchen Cabinets. This company manufactures customized kitchens for the Canadian, U.S. and Caribbean markets. Their son, James, is currently running the manufacturing operation. Cost of the luncheon is $20 per person.
