Drunken man held in pizza shop incident

A drunken craving for pizza led to a night in jail for a Merrimack man. Police were called to D.W. Pizza around 8 p.m. Tuesday because of an unwanted, highly intoxicated subject on the property, according to police. When they arrived, officers took Wayne Soule, 40, of 18 Webster Court, into custody, police said. At the police station Soule because "belligerent" and tried fighting officers. Soule pushed one officer and spit in the face of another, police said. He was charged with two counts of simple assault and held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections on $2,500 cash bail, according to police. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack District Court today, police said.
