Sex offender accused of failing to notify
A sex offender was arrested for failing to notify police after he moved to Salem, police said Monday. Timothy Richard, 28, formerly of 26 Greenlay St., Nashua, was convicted in 1999 of felonious sexual assault involving a child under 13, according to the state's sex offender registry. Police recently learned that he had moved some time in October but hadn't notified police, Detective Lt. Jeff Bukunt said. Richard is charged with violating the duty to report, a felony punishable by a maximum of 3-1/2 to seven years in prison. He was expected to be arraigned Monday in Nashua District Court.
