‘Living United’ strengthens community
It’s the holiday season, with Thanksgiving already right around the corner and the New Year not far behind. This is the season where we often take the time to reflect, to count our blessings and plan for our futures. We spend time with friends and look out into our community to share our good fortune and good cheer. During this time - it seems more than any other - we Live United. For many, times are hard, and now more than ever we are looking at how we make investments - personally, professionally and philanthropically. At United Way of the Greater Seacoast, we are doing the same. For several years now, we’ve watched our community’s needs grow faster than any single organization’s ability to meet those needs. And so we have started to Live United. We’ve begun to focus on getting nonprofit organizations, municipalities, businesses and individuals to work together where we once competed against each other - to find solutions to the challenges we face, instead of just quick fixes. Living United means being a part of the change we want to see in our community. It means doing what each one of us can as individuals to give, to advocate and to volunteer. It means investing in solutions, in raising our voices for causes that matter most, and for sharing our time and talents to benefit the common good. Because together, united, we can make a difference. United we elevate our community, the greater Seacoast community, to be even greater. So, this holiday season, we’d like to invite you to join us in Living United. Visit us online at uwgs.org to see how you can give, advocate and volunteer, and be a part of strengthening our community together. We can help you find a way for you and your family, company or friends to share your time, talents and treasures with hundreds of nonprofits across the Seacoast. Reaching out during the holidays to share our joy - that’s what it means to Live United.
