Civil and environmental engineering firm Tighe & Bond has hired James Collins of Exeter as a principal engineer in its Portsmouth office. Collins has 13 years of engineering experience assisting clients with a broad range of drinking water treatment challenges including emerging contaminants and disinfection.
The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has purchased the 9,360-square-foot Manchester Millyard building that previously was home to 4 Star Flooring. Sale price was $725,000, reports Doug Martin of Colliers International’s Manchester office, who represented the seller in the transaction. Barry Hynes and Sue Ann Johnson of Cushman & Wakefield represented the buyer.
More than 100 families and individuals have placed reservations on pre-sale contracts representing $21.6 million worth of future sales since the Balsams Resort’s initial real estate selection event in the fall of 2016, according to lead developer Les Otten.
The reservations require a 5% refundable deposit toward a future purchase of condominium units in the Hampshire and Dix Houses, the first structures to be renovated under the Balsams’ restoration and expansion plans.
Otten said the response validates his team’s redevelopment vision.
“When the state came to us and offered assistance through its Department of Economic Development and Business Finance Authority, I said our project would prove its viability by taking reservations on at least $25 million of real estate. With the deposits in hand and the number of prospective buyers currently showing interest, we are confident we’ll meet our $25 million goal in a matter of weeks.”
Bank of New Hampshire has launched a new service that will allow customers to apply for a mortgage or home equity loan from their home, office or anywhere with an internet connection or through a mobile app from their smartphone.
The technology allows users to explore rates, products and fees and complete an application, said Bill Zafirson, the bank’s chief retail lending officer, who said called the new Mortgage Web Center program “an exciting enhancement for our customers’ online experience.”
New Hampshire Realtors now have the ability to manage transactions, streamline workflows and send for e-signatures from anywhere with zipLogix’ zipForm Mobile tool as a member benefit.
The platform allows users to manage their transaction activities, customize clauses and templates, email documents directly to transactions, copy and split PDFs, upload documents from their cloud, and view e-signature statuses from their smartphone or tablet.

Nancy Phillips Associates has announced the sale of Wentworth Motor Co. Inc., Exeter, by Michael Wentworth, to Daniel Enxing of Windham. Enxing is the former owner of Subaru of Nashua Inc. The dealership’s name has been changed to Volvo Cars of Exeter.
